American Music Award Nominations, Taylor Swift and The Band Perry are both on Top

Country music favorites, Taylor Swift and The Band Perry, are among those most chosen as nominees for the American Music Awards. They both have three American Music Award Nominations. Taylor Swift and The sibling trio, The Band Perry, have the most nominations of any country artists this year for the 2011 awards show.

The 2011 American Music Awards air live. Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Taylor is nominated to take home the biggest prize of the night, Artist of the Year.  She is competing agains Adelle, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Katy Perry.  She has also been selected for potential winning of Favorite Female Country Album with ‘Speak Now’, and Favorite Female Country Artist.

The Band Perry has also been nominated, along with Taylor Swift, for the Favorite Country Album award, for their self-titled album.  Favorite Country Band, Duo or Group and New Country Artist of the Year are among their other potential wins.
