Filed under: The Country Scoop |

Living in the U.P., where we have 5 to 6 months of winter months, it is important to have a winter activity keeping you moving in the winter.

Whether it is snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling or skating physical activities will keep you in shape throughout the winter months and keep you happy even during the stormiest months.

The Marquette Figure Skating Club is going to host a free “Learn to Skate” clinic on Thursday, September 20th from 6 to 6:50 p.m. at the Lakeview Arena.

Boys and girls ages 4 to adult are invited to join for a free group lesson. A liability waiver must be signed.

Rental skates will be available. Flexible clothing, gloves or mittens, and helmets (bike or hockey) are strongly suggested. Goodie bags will be given to the first 50 participants.

So, if your looking for a sport to pick up, or for something to do this week, check out the clinic!
