The singer-songwriter was in Nashville’s for the ICM (Inspirational Country Music) Awards last night, today he has a show at Music City’s Hard Rock Cafe on his solo tour and on Saturday he will be performing on…the Grand Ole Opry!

“It’s going to be a dream come true,” Mac told The Boot. “Even though I’ve been there before performing with Charlie Daniels, to be able to go sing songs that I’ve written, it’s going to be a very special moment. It’s a huge honor and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Mac hasn’t left his high school band however, they have a new album coming out November 6th, entitled “Miracle,” produced by Brendan O’Brien, who worked with Bruce Springsteen, the Killers, and Pearl Jam!

“Third Day” has won four Grammy’s, 26 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, they’ve sold millions of albums, topped the chart 25 times with their singles, have been inducted into Georgia’s Music Hall of Fame and the title track from their new album is climbing the Christian charts already!

A country career is icing on the cake for Mac and something he’s always wanted to do. For the full story go to theboot.com!
