It’s a Sad Day for Shania Fans

Shania TwainAs a huge Shania Twain fan I was very disappointed to hear this.

The Shania Twain Centre in Timmins, Ontario, Canada is closing. It was built 12 years ago to showcase Shania’s career and funded by tax dollars. $4 million dollars of tax money.

The center will remain open until the end of January then a vote from the town council will decide if an open mine pit will take its place. But the town still loves Shania.

Timmins City Councillor Pat Bamford said, “We’re not severing our relationship with Shania Twain. We’re very proud of her.”

Currently, Shania is headlining her “Still the One” residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, so she is doing great! But I do wonder how she feels about the center closing.

And, to make things worse, after moving I cannot find my autographed picture form Shania…what a bad day!
