The Marquette Royales unleashed on the Wooster Oilers

Marquette, Michigan – Family Fun and Great Hockey Fighting! The Marquette Royales

I’d been hearing so much buzz around the New Hockey team in Marquette so I thought – Let’s Go!  I scored some tickets to the Royales game, they are at the Lakeview Arena for a Friday, Saturday and Sunday Series against the Wooster Oilers.  After a nice family dinner we all packed into the car and headed down to Lakeview.  I hadn’t been to a hockey game in so long I was really excited for the action and at the Royales Game you can drink a Beer.  Ice Cold Cans of Labatt Blue and Labatt Blue Lights were only $1.50.

We just beat the rush and found some great seats.  You could feel the tension rise as the game was almost ready to start, the Royales faced off against the Wooster Oilers and this was one serious match up.  They went goal for goal through the first two periods.  Then the Royales started to pull ahead… This was awesome!  They scored two quick goals and then another.  Now they had a solid lead on the Oilers and things started to get rowdy.  You can see from the pictures below that this is Pro Style Hockey…  These guys are tough and didn’t hesitate to drop their stick and gloves to throw down in a fight.  Which made the crowd go wild.  A few times there were multiple fights on the ice all at the same time, which made it tough on the Refs 😉

We had a great time and this was some seriously affordable family fun.  When the family is looking for something to do next weekend I know what I’ll suggest from now on.  The Marquette Royales Face off against the Central Wisconsin Saints on November 8th, 9th, and 10th.  Tickets are available at the door or get them in advance from and save a few bucks.
