Superior Central Hosts Annual Track Meet

Superior Central High School hosted their annual Dome Meet today at Marquette’s Superior Dome.

Being a small class D school SCHS does not yet have their own completed track. They just finished their football field and the track has been started. That’s ok though because the Dome Meet is one of the biggest meets of the year.

There were around 18 schools there today and the amount of competition the athletes got to see beats the smaller track meets that comprise the rest of their seasons.

I remember running at the Dome back in high school; it was a change  because we were used to outdoor 400 meter tracks like most high schools have in the U.P. The indoor track at the Dome is 200 meters.

Superior Central took 1st for the girls overall and 1st for overall boys and girls.

I had a lot of fun watching and congratulations too all the athletes who ran today and good luck in your seasons!
