The fastest two minutes in sports

The 137th Kentucky Derby is going to be Run at the Churchill Downs, May 5th

The Kentucky Derby is the longest continuous sporting event in America.

I am a huge horse lover and race in speed events myself, so naturally the Kentucky Derby is a big deal for me.

The thrill the riders experience has to be one of the greatest. Going 45-50 miles per hour along side other horses, with just a lightweight saddle to hold you down must be an adrenaline rush!

I have never bet on a horse and I have never actually been to the race, but I plan on making the trip sometime soon in the future. I haven’t been able to really keep up with the contestants, but I will spend hours in front of the TV the day of to pick my favorite.

I also think that it would be awesome to be on of the broadcasters who rides up next to the winner and interviews them while riding down the track!!

Check out the Kentucky Derby website.
