Marquette, Michigan– Women seeking the opportunity to improve their outdoor skills are invited to register for the

Marquette's 103.3 The Country Extreme

12th annual Becoming an Outdoors-Woman ( BOW ) winter program in the Upper Peninsula . The program will be held February 24 through 26 at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay.

Sponsored by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, this program offers instruction in more than a dozen kinds of indoor and outdoor activities, including cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ice fishing, fly tying, wilderness first aid, wood burning and more. Instructors provide basic and advanced instruction that is tailored to each participant’s individual ability.

The $180 registration fee includes all food and lodging, as well as most equipment and supplies, except as noted in the registration materials. Participants will be housed in a dorm-style facility with amenities including a sauna and hiking trails with access to Lake Superior .

Early registration is recommended as the program fills quickly each year. 2/22/2012 (TheBoot.com) — Shhhh, don’t tell Carrie Underwood‘s record label, but the country superstar is leaking her own new single! Well, at least a taste of it. The blond beauty shares with fans this home video (below) shot in a Nashville recording studio on what was her last day of working on her upcoming fourth studio album. The project doesn’t have an official title yet, but we do know that the first single is called ‘Good Girl.’ And watching this video, we now know that the new tune is uptempo, sassy and bound to be a monster hit.

Carrie co-wrote ‘Good Girl,’ which she describes as “kick butt,” with her ‘Don’t Forget to Remember Me’ and ‘All-American Girl’ collaborators Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley. “Chris DeStefano — I call him a little mad scientist on all of his Pro Tools stuff — he plays every instrument you could possibly think of, and he started making this track,” she recalls. “We wrote it fast, and it’s just fun! It’s upbeat, you stomp your feet and you can dance to it. It’s got this really rockin’ verse, and this really rockin’ country chorus.”

2/21/2012 (TheBoot.com) – Blake Shelton, Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green have become fast friends since the launch of ‘The Voice‘ in 2011. Fortunately for them, the stars will have the opportunity to work together for at least another year. The Wrap reports that all four coaches have signed on to return for the NBC show’s third season.

According to the site, Christina has agreed to return for $10 million, and her male cohorts will also receive “substantial pay raises,” amounting to roughly $6 million each. The next installment of ‘The Voice’ is expected to make a fall debut. However, an NBC spokeswoman told The Wrap that “no final decisions have been made” in regards to coaches in future seasons.

Band and Kid Rock serving as the event’s headliners this year. Now in its fourth year, the festival is set for June 14 – 16, 2012 in Enterprise, Ala., at BamaJam Farms, a 1600-acre property that will have two stages of music plus camping, ATV trails and a waterpark.

“I’m looking forward to coming to ‘Sweet Home’ and playing with my friends, Zac Brown Band and Tim McGraw,” says Kid Rock. “Turn it up! We’re gonna set this place on fire!”
