Baraga State Park 90th Anniversary Celebration
Baraga, MI- The 90th Anniversary Celebration for Baraga State Park is this weekend, August 3rd through August 6th.
The festivities begin Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. with Wilderness Hat Making. You can make your own hat out of household materials to wear on a hike later in the evening.

Wednesday, August 3rd-
4:00 p.m.- Wilderness Hat Making, you can make your own hat our of household items and wear it on the wilderness hike later in the day.
7:00 p.m.- Wild Wednesday Hike, you can wear your new hat and hike the nature trail.
Thursday, August 4th-
7:00 p.m.- Nature Detectives, learn how to identify animal tracks and natural signs.
Friday, August 5th-
2:00 p.m.- Busy Beavers, explore an abandoned beaver pond and learn more about beavers.
5:00 p.m.- Wildlife Olympics, a fun outdoor game where you can become an outdoor Olympian.
7:00 p.m.- U.P. Raptor Rehabilitation, up close and personal program to see local raptors.
Saturday, August 6th-
9:00 a.m.- learn the basics of kayaking and you can try out kayaking of Keveenaw Bay with Steve Koski. This event is until noon.
1:00 p.m.- Lawnlympics Tournament for Adults, friendly competition with classic lawn games such as bean bag toss, ladder golf, and horseshoe toss.
2:00 p.m.- Happy 90th Birthday Mural Painting, kids can help paint a giant birthday card for Baraga State Park.
6:00 p.m.- Cake and Refreshments with Park Staff.
7:00 p.m.- Baraga State Park Historical Presentation, learn the 90 year history of Baraga State Park.
9:30 p.m. Campsite Decorating Judging, you can decorate your campsite in a festive theme to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Baraga State Park.
