Marquette, MIMay 26, 2015 – The best graduating senior football players from across the Upper Peninsula will hit the turf one more time on June 27th for the 2015 U.P. Football All-Star Game at the Superior Dome in Marquette. Great Lakes Radio is excited to broadcast the entire game to listeners across the U.P. on 103-FXD in Marquette & and on WRUP 92.7 in Escanaba, as well as a live stream here on wfxd.com!

Every year, the best football players in the Upper Peninsula are invited to play in a North vs. South all-star game, along with an exciting week that includes a Skills Challenge, Media Day, an All-Star Banquet and more, leading up to the big game on Saturday afternoon.

The North team will include star players from Baraga, Brimley, Calumet, Ewen-Trout Creek, Gogebic, Gwinn, Hancock, Houghton, Ironwood, Ishpeming, Lake Linden-Hubbell, L’Anse, Marquette, Munising, Negaunee, Newberry, Ontonagon, Sault Area, Superior Central, and Westwood. They will be coached by Paul Jacobson, Head Coach of the Negaunee Miners.

The South team will include the best players from Bark River-Harris, Cedarville, Engadine, Escanaba, Forest Park, Gladstone, Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Manistique, Menominee, Mid Peninsula, North Central, North Dickinson, Norway, Pickford, Rapid River, Rudyard, St. Ignace, Stephenson, and West Iron County. The South will be coached by Brad Grayvold, Head Coach of the Norway Knights.

The game will be covered by Mike Plourde and Bob Nadeau, the voices of the Ishpeming Hematites on 98.3 WRUP. They will also be joined in the booth by a guest announcer from Great Lakes Radio. Listeners in the most of the Upper Peninsula will be able to catch the game on 103.3 FM WFXD. Listeners in the southern parts of the Upper Peninsula can tune into 92.7 FM WRUP to catch the game also.
