Driving through south Marquette on my way to work this morning I was pleasantly surprised.
Standing in the middle of the round-about was a man holding up a “Vote Today” sign. I was so relieved to see that he was out there specifically to encourage people to vote.
He wasn’t trying to influence people with a party sign or throwing more political claims into my face at 7:58 a.m. in the morning, he was just happily reminding people to vote. How nice.
I wish I could have snapped a picture of him but he was on the south side of the round-about, I didn’t have my camera out, and I couldn’t pull over. I thought about doing another loop, but I decided safe driving was more important.
I didn’t get to vote before work this morning, but I will definitely be heading there afterwards.
