30th Annual Pigs N Heat Charity Hockey game at the Lakeview Arena last night was my first attendance. What a great event centered around my favorite sport – hockey! The attendance I would guess to be more than 3/4 the arena’s seat capacity.
Sunny 101.9’s Mike Plourde was the PA Announcer for the starting line up and event games held between periods. I had the privilege of playing the music during the game stoppage for face-offs and when each team scored goals!
Man, was I having fun – the final score had the Pig beating the Heat 7 – 2 ! That means I blasted my specially drafted audio files with a loud boat horn, sirens and pumpin’ rock music 9 times – just like the NHL games!!!
Event Coordinator, Brian Olsen and his crew did an outstanding job running such a large scale event for charity.
