Marquette County – August 2, 2010 – Four Marquette County credit unions are getting together to purchase a hog at the Marquette County Fair Saturday August 10th at the Livestock sale.
TruNorth, UP Catholic, SIR Federal Credit Union, and Marquette Community will be donating it to Bay Cliff Health Camp.
Spokes person for the group, Ron Lauren from SIR said, “We all feel it is a great community service to try and offset their costs and provide great meals for the campers”.
Bay Cliff supports receiving several hundred pounds of pork for the kids especially when the Hog is purchase from a 4H kid that has worked hard for 4 months to bring the animal to the Livestock sale. Tim Bennett of Bay Cliff loves the idea.
