Last Saturday, the Ore Dock Brewing Co. hosted John Lennon Night where area musicians and bands played music by the late John Lennon to raise money for the Michigan Food Bank in Ishpeming and UNICEF.
Our band, Drew & The Geezers worked on eight songs to offer for the night’s entertainment and from the gracious comments, we did a really good job. I offered the suggestion for the band to do the song, Glass Onion, which turned out great…and I found out while rehearsing the song that the walrus was Paul!!!
It’s really a different skill to be a musician which generates something creative to effect the atmosphere of others, if done correctly.
