Let’s be honest: Girl Scout Cookies are, pardon my French, the bee’s knees. Thin mints, Caramel Delights, Peanut Butter Patties, Lemonades….. excuse me whilst I go and gain ten pounds. When I see them lining up supermarkets, hardware stores, and video rentals my mouth immediately begins to water.
The thing that gets lost I think though is why Troop 5037 attends events such as the Builder’s Show. The Girl Scouts are an organization dedicated to improving the world around them. Whether it’s donating delicious cookie money, making bookmarks for reading month, or spreading cultural awareness, the Girl Scouts haven’t strayed from their central goals: Giving young girls skills that will assist them throughout their life-time, both intellectually & physically. So you’re not just buying some cookies, you’re actually donating to the future generations of the country.
