Nashville is a city known for tourism and country music. This city holds many historic places of value, so that are preserved for its historical value, others in need if restoration. So is the case with RCA Studio A, located at 30 Music Row West.

Built in 1964 by Chet Atkins and Owen Bradley, two chief initiators of the “Nashville Sound”, the building containing the studio has since been purchased by a developer, who’s initial intentions were to maintain the building. Further inspection of the building revealed that it would be more cost effective to demolish it than to renovate it.
Herein lies the rub, which comes down to money. Who will come forward with the necessary funds to renovate a building to preserve its historical value. Land developers can always come up with investors for financing new building projects.
Bravo Development, current owner of the building, has slated demolition for September 30th unless someone comes up with the cash to preserve the building. The clock is ticking…
