A group is concerned citizens spearheaded by financial support from Music industry executive Mike Curb, philanthropists Chuck Elcan and Aubrey Preston came through to make a final purchase on the studio property last month.

Now, the National Trust for Historic Preservation has deemed the property a national treasure. This Washington, D.C. based organization bestowed the distinction because of Music Row’s “central importance to Nashville’s identity as Music City, U.S.A.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation says that the distinction will help secure the future of the iconic area and further promote Music Row’s significance.
