The first two points of the second quarter went to Escanaba and then they had a long court pass that went up and in. There were a couple turnovers for Gwinn in this quarter and it almost seemed like Gwinn was just giving up easy baskets. Those mental errors were kicking Gwinn in the butt especially

because the Escanaba Eskimos were pretty quick and athletic. There was about 2:35 left to go in the second quarter before Gwinn even score and it was Luke Reddlan that got the swoosh. It looked like the ModelTowners were going to keep the lead until Escanaba got a three pointer right before the buzzer making the score a tie! 16-16 was the score at half-time. Justin Beauchamp for the Gwinn ModelTowners could not make it this game because of some back problems from the previous practice- feel better Justin, you were definitely missed this game! Right away for the third quarter, Theo Reddlan put in his first two points of the night. Along with the fouls from the other team, allowing the ModelTowners to make their free throws, Gwinn was able to maintain their lead without letting Escanaba score for a while. After the Eskimos were able to score, Jordon Norman, being the quick athlete he is, made another basket for Gwinn. At the end of this quarter the score was a good 34-28 with our ModelTowners in the lead.
