Marquette Township – March 3, 2015 – A 15,000 square foot public works building was opened to the media yesterday to take a peek at the efficient improvements Marquette Township has made for their crews.
This single facility housing most all of the gear, supplies, and trucks will make response time much faster for the residents.
The township employees will service some 4,000 residents and businesses and projects along the 34 miles of roads out of one organized, clean facility.
This new facility is located by the huge million gallon Cox water tank which is just to the East of this facility. The Cox tank produces about 5 million gallons of water a month for residents and additional tanks to the West produce about the same for residents and businesses in the Western side of the township. The record for water usage in Marquette Township is 12 million gallons in a month, usually happening in August.
