Gordy brought you the Honor Credit Union pregame show from Negaunee as the ModelTowners were ready to face the Negaunee Miners on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and GoToGwinn.com.
The first quarter started off with the Negaunee Miners in domination over the Gwinn ModelTowners. The Miners stepped out of bounds and it was Gwinn’s ball. Gordon Mielke said “Bang Bang we got a ball game!” as the ModelTowners get on the board and trail the Negaunee Miners 6-10. 12-15 was the score with about 5 minutes left to play in the first quarter of action from Negaunee High School. The Miners continue their domination with Greg Tuminen and led the ModelTowners 21-10 on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1. First quarter comes to a close and the ModelTowners trailed the Miners 21-10.
The shot was up and in by Quinten Johnson with the Miners in the lead over the ModelTowners in the second half of action, 23-10. “4:50 left to go in the second quarter, Gwinn is on the board” said Gordy. A foul was called on Dylan Tasson and the score was 25-12 on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 with the Miners still holding on to their healthy lead. With a minute left in the second quarter Justin Beauchamp gets on the board and the Miners lead the ModelTowners 28-20.
The Pomp’s Tire Halftime show with Gordon Mielke kicked off around 8pm. Gordy brought you full stats, and covered what the ModelTowners would need to do to achieve victory during Thursday night’s game in Negaunee. The ModelTowners trailed the Miners 23-29 during the Pomp’s Tire Halftime show.
Gwinn trailed throughout the entire 3rd quarter of action from Negaunee. Gordy said “Gwinn just isn’t with it tonight.” The first fowl of the second half happened around 8:25pm Thursday night for Negaunee. The score was 47-30 with the Miners in the lead over the ModelTowners. 3rd quarter closes with the Miners in the lead 47-31 on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1.
