
4/1/2015 Marquette, Michigan — It isn’t an April fools prank. On Monday when I called up a cable company I was literally on hold for about 30 minutes. Basically, I got the run-around from 3 different people at the same company. I asked a very simple question. I was sent away somewhere across the country rather than talking to the local guys. The first person I spoke to at the cable company told me “I can’t help you, let me send you down to my manager.” I was sent down to the manager only to be told that they couldn’t help me once again. The manager sent me to their manager and basically told me “It’s out of our hands.”
I asked to speak to someone on the local end. Once again, this is where I ended up on hold for nearly 20 minutes. Between the 3 different people I spoke to at that company I was on hold for a grand total of 30 minutes. REALLY!?! Are you kidding me?? I asked a basic question and couldn’t even get a simple answer. Are these companies really THAT clueless? I asked to speak to the local guys in Marquette but was told “We can’t do that.” I think the local guys would disagree…
…What do you think? Have you ever been in a situation like this where you’re so frustrated because of the lack of knowledge? I mean, don’t we pay these companies to answer our questions??
