I am a pizza fanatic – I love a good N.Y.-style pizza and could eat it every day (if left to my own devices)! In fact, my pizza is requested for Packer game day parties! Since I make my own, I don’t get out to eat pizza often. Today, I read in this article about Pizza Hut coming up with a Hot Dog Bites pizza – a pizza with a crust edged with pigs in a blanket!
The Dallas Observer challenged Zoli’s, a local pizzeria, to create their own spin off from Pizza Hut’s creation. Zoli’s answered with the “Death Wish” – a 10 pound pizza made with seven different meats, a garlic knot crust and mozzarella cheese. The meat list consisted of brisket, pork, pork ribs, pig face, pepperoni, hot Italian sausage and hot dogs! This monster took 45 minutes to bake.
Zoli’s manager, Andy Gibbons said. “You had to bite off a little piece at a time; you couldn’t tackle a whole piece – it was impossible.”
This is the kind of pizza slice you can’t hold with your hands!!
