Marquette, Michigan – July 2nd, 2015 – Local Cub Scouts Pack 308 from Marquette stopped by the Great Lakes Radio studios on Thursday night to learn the inside and out on how multiple radio stations are run! For the 3 young members of Cub Scout Pack 308 this was their first time EVER visiting a radio station. This is also their first year in the Cub Scouts of America.
On top of learning how a radio station is run, they also had the opportunity of talking on-air on 103-FXD during the FXD Drive with Eric Scott! The 3 members – Jackson, Parker, and Logan – all had the chance to hear themselves on-air on 103-FXD!
Jackson, Parker, and Logan learned the insides of engineering, sales, programming, and how the Emergency Alert System (EAS) is broadcast over-the-air on the stations of Great Lakes Radio. The 3 young men were amazed by the amount of work that goes into how to run a radio station. They stopped by the studios and received a tour that lasted about one hour.
Listen to audio of Jackson, Parker, and Logan as they talk with Eric Scott on 103-FXD about the Cub
