A 17 year old Kansas driver learned a valuable lesson this past week when she took both hands off the steering wheel to swat at a spider, causing a four-car crash in Barton County that sent 11 people to a local hospital.
Troopers say that’s when her car crossed the center line and struck a 2005 Jeep Liberty head-on. The Jeep then bounced off a Trans Am and struck a 2005 Dodge Caravan head-on that also was heading eastbound on the highway. The debris from the second collision then struck a 2010 Chevrolet Impala.
No one knows what happened to the spider…
