We had another great day today on the Outdoor Show! The weather this past weekend was excellent, and the rain that we got is sure to help salmon fishermen in our area! I had a chance to play some excellent bluegrass and country music for you, and today’s Outlaw Cut of the day was a special song from Kris Kristofferson called “Silver Tongued Devil and I”.
My first guest on the Outdoor Reports for today was Chris from Bayview Bait and Tackle, which is located in Gladstone, just North of Escanaba, MI. Chris gave us an excellent fishing report for Little Bay de Noc, and he told us how fishermen in his area are catching huge pike and muskie in Little Bay de Noc. He also had some great salmon fishing information for us, as well as a smallmouth bass report.

I had a very special guest for the second of today’s Outdoor Reports. I welcomed hunter, photographer, and wildlife expert Richard P. Smith back to the show! For today’s Big Boy Sports Recap, Steve Wheland and I went on a nice long rant about how the Detroit Lions have been a huge let down so far this season (*Note* – We recorded this just before the Lions fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi this afternoon). We also discussed the change to the NHL from a five-man overtime to a three-man overtime and how that’s going to effect this season.
