Today was another great day on The Outdoor Show at 103-FXD! I got play you all some great country and bluegrass music. If you were listening during the three o’clock hour, you got hear a great song by The Steeldrivers and their former lead singer, popular bluegrass artist, Chris Stapleton. With tons of requests pouring in on the show, songs by Chris Stapleton are right at the top!
Today’s first Outdoor Report was with Foxy from Foxy’s Den in Garden Corners, MI. With tons of great fishing reports coming out of Big Bay De Noc, Foxy and I had a great chat about the perch fishing. Fishers are still hooking some great catches out there on the water. Foxy had some interesting things to say about the results from this deer hunting season.
Shelly from Straightline Archery in Ishpeming catch up with me today to talk about late season bow hunting tactics. Shelly said to watch for deer moving around right before a big weather change! Shelly and I had an interesting talk about looking for a food source to find deer too! Starting off the Big Boy Recap with Steve Whalen, he and I covered the most recent Red Wings game where Detroit ended three game winning streak, losing to the Washington Capitals. Mention of the Tigers, Brewers and Mariners also made it’s way into the report. Tigers are looking to make a long term deal with J.D. Martinez. As for football, bringing it a little closer to home, Jeff Olson, Ishpeming High School Head Coach for the Multi-Championship winning football team was named into the Michigan High School Hall of Fame!
