I had a great time in the studio today playing some country music, new and old! My Outlaw Cut from today was a song by the great George Strait. With new alternative country music, as well as the old lined up for the rest of this week’s shows, it should be a good time on 103-FXD!
We had Nick from Superior Outfitters in Marquette join us on air to talk about river fishing for steelheads. River fishing has benefited from this warm weather we’re having! With a 39 degree average in the rivers, there’s are a lot dime bright steelheads out there! Nick and I even got to talking about what’s been working all across Lake Superior and Upper Lake Michigan!

For the Outdoor report of the day, we caught up with Greg from Paradise Recreational Sports in Paradise, MI. Looking at the Eastern U.P. the deer count was pretty low. There were some very big bucks speckling across the Upper Peninsula, but there wasn’t much to see out there. Greg had a fair amount to say about the success in fishing Walleye lately as well the excitement once snow starts to stick!
I had a fun Big Boy Recap with Steve starting out with some MLB talk! The Brewers are hurting some this season, while the Tigers still have some room to make some good plays. The Tigers just traded for left handed pitcher, Justin Wilson from the Yankees! The Red wings are hoping to end their losing strike against Montreal with their game tonight! There are rumors that in the NFL that Demarco Murray is sabotaging his own relationship with the Eagles to get back on with the Dallas Cowboys.
