Marquette, MI – December 21, 2015 – I had a couple very interesting conversations today on the Outdoor Show. First, Pete Sorel joined us from Settler’s Co-Op in Bruce Crossing, Michigan. He and other anglers have been taking advantage of fairly thick ice on Lake Gogebic. The shallows are giving up very nice walleye through the hard water. We also talked about ice on other inland lakes as well as the amount of snow in his neck of the woods for snowmobiling.

Brian Roell joined us again on the Outdoor Show to discuss last week’s federal decision to remove a rider on a federal budgetary bill that would have delisted the wolf as an “federally protected endangered species”. He elaborated on the next course of action to try and regain species management control at the state level. We also discussed Marquette County deer season results, this incredible December grouse season, and our U.P. moose herd.
