Marquette, Michigan – February 27th, 2016 – No matter how busy I am every other Saturday of the month, I always look forward to Elmer’s Pick Night on American Country Gold on 103-FXD and WFXD.com. Following the show on Saturday night, I actually had a couple of listeners tell me they really look forward to Elmer’s Pick Night. “There are songs I haven’t heard in a long time” is what my listeners told me over the phone. That’s exactly what I love about the last Saturday of the month; Elmer’s Pick Night brings you songs that I normally don’t play any other Saturday night.
When you think about it, that’s only 12 Saturday’s out of the entire year that I don’t take phone calls on American Country Gold. Is that really so bad?! Most of my listeners enjoy it when I choose the music–I never hear any complaints.
Saturday was another unusually warm day. I was happy to see that the snow was continuing to melt on my way to the station from Gwinn on Saturday night. It looks like the coming week could be another roller coaster–I just hope next weekend is decent for the 2016 U.P. Builder’s Show at the Superior Dome in Marquette!
