Ishpeming, Michigan – March 28th, 2016 – It’s not really a milestone in this day and age of vehicles… but my car just turned 100,000 miles old on Wednesday. It was neat watching my mileage roll over from 99,999 miles to 100,000 miles on my way into work on Wednesday morning. It’s not something you see everyday….
When I bought my car 6 years ago I had 39,000 miles on it. It’s a ’08 Pontiac Grand Prix. That’s 61,000 miles back and forth to Marquette from Ishpeming 6 days a week in 6 years. That also includes trips to Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Minnesota, Virginia, West Virgina, and North Carolina. That’s a whole lotta trips!
Hopefully my car will last me another 100,000 miles! I wouldn’t really count on it with all the salt we deal with in Marquette County. The rust will probably get the best of her…
