Marquette, MI – October 7, 2016 – Join us this weekend to help honor our local heroes! We will be above Harlow Park at 10:30 am for Fire Prevention Day on Saturday, October 8th. The Marquette County Fire Department will have 13 million dollars worth of Fire Department Equipment on hand for the event.
Bring your kids and let them explore the trucks! Everyone will also have a chance to meet Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog! The department will be giving away bonds and have fire detectors on site too. Many of the men and women from the Marquette Fire Department are volunteers; they give so much, for so little. Come down for this 90 minute event, enjoy some cake, and give a little back to these local heroes.
Fire Prevention Day will wrap up with a parade including all of the fire engines brought to the vent! This event is totally free and anyone is welcome.
