U.S. Open Begins Today

Marquette, MIJune 15, 2017 – There are 4 weekends every spring/summer that I don’t mind sacrificing being out in the beautiful weather to stay in and watch TV. These weekends are when Major Championship Golf is taking place.

Today marks the start of the 2nd major championship tournament of the year, the 2017 U.S. Open. This year’s Open is being played at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin. A beautiful links-style course in the heart of the Midwest, the brutally long course is sure to test the world’s best players. Especially if the wind picks up over the weekend.

There is a chance I will be spending a majority of my time this weekend on the couch glued to the TV, hoping Dustin Johnson can capture his second consecutive U.S. Open Championship.  I generally wouldn’t feel guilty regardless, but if the forecast stays true, and the rain comes all weekend, it will be a perfect excuse not to leave the house.
