Mac Davis to Be Honored with BMI Icon Award in Nashville on November 3

BMIMac Davis will be honored as this year’s BMI Icon at the 2015 BMI Country Awards in Nashville on November 3. The award is given “to songwriters who have had a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.”

Mac is best known for his hits “Baby Don’t Get Hooked on Me,” “Hooked on Music” and “Stop and Smell the Roses.” He has also written hits for Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and Rascal Flatts.
