Kris Connor/Getty ImagesWillie Nelson‘s career was celebrated Wednesday night as the 2015 recipient of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song in Washington, D.C.
Several musicians were on hand at the event to perform at the tribute, including Neil Young, Paul Simon, Rosanne Cash and Alison Krauss.
Nelson closed the show with renditions of several tunes, including “Living in the Promised Land,” “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” with Cyndi Lauper, and “On the Road Again” with various guests. The previous day, a special presentation was made at the Library of Congress to salute Nelson.
