Marquette, MI  –  August 2, 2018  –  “If you haven’t been to the fair lately, you haven’t been to the fair!”

The Marquette County Fair is coming back to town a week from today at the Marquette County Fairgrounds. Admission is just $6 for adults, $3 for kids, and children under 4 years old get in for free. On Thursday, veterans and seniors get in for $3 as well. The show runs right into the weekend starting Thursday, August 9th and wrapping up late Saturday, August 11th.

On Thursday, things start off at 10am, the carnival opens at 1pm and enjoy the antique car show, 3 to 7pm. The classic Fireman’s Tournament will start at 6:30pm and there will be live music from local band, Trailer Hitch, from 7 to 10pm.

The cowboys and cowgirls will be hitting the fairgrounds on Friday for the horse speed events. Watch the show has riders test their steads in cloverleaf, polls, keyhole, and more! And don’t miss a chance to see 103-FXD’s Adam Carpenter perform with his band Chasin’ Steel in the fairgrounds gazebo from 7 to 10pm.

Saturday, Go Kart Races kick off at noon with horse jumping at 3pm followed by Wisconsin Lawn Mower Racing in the arena at 7pm while Lumi rocks out up the hill in the gazebo.
