Marquette, MI – 08/07/2019 – It’s finally August and that means that the Upper Peninsula State Fair is fast approaching. The UP State fair has been around since 1928, giving people the opportunity to attend and see the unique culture that is the Upper Peninsula. 15 representatives from across the UP are what make up the Upper Peninsula State Fair Authority to help make the fair what it is today. From August 12 through August 18th check out all of the entertainment and exhibitors the 2019 Upper Peninsula State Fair has to offer.
Each day the fair is operating is jam packed with great events. When the gates open at 5pm on Monday, you can get your ticket and head into the fair grounds to check out the thrilling rides and tasty food. Carley Pearce will be performing her hit country music starting at 8pm. On Tuesday, the gates open at 9am and its senior citizen’s day with ticket prices at $5! Also on Tuesday, you can check out the finale of the 906 Got Talent contest. On Wednesday, you can check out Forgotten Highway performing at 8pm. You can also watch the Great Lakes Timber and Lumberjack Show that’ll be going on throughout the week! Thursday is Veteran’s Day which means active military, retired military and veterans receive free admission with DD214 Military service verification form. Peacemaker will be your musical entertainment for the evening starting at 8pm. On Friday, Theory of a Deadman will be performing their famous rock hits! On Saturday there will be a classic car show going on all day from 8:30 to 3:30 and a Junior Market Livestock Sale starting at 11am, and your entertainment for Saturday night is Billy Ray Cyrus! On Sunday, the whole state fair will be concluded with fireworks presented by Skerbeck Entertainment Group.
