Marquette, MI – April 7, 2016 – Music Director Joan Petrelius shared this update about what her women’s chorus group, Noteworthy, is up to:
This lively women’s chorus was founded on friendship and the love of barbershop harmonies. Its members are all volunteers from the community, bound together by a passion for music and the enthusiasm of their director, Joan Petrelius. Noteworthy performs annual benefit concerts in the spring and during the Christmas holidays, and over the years has raised thousands of dollars to support local nonprofits. The chorus also provides free concerts in schools, nursing homes, and hospitals upon request. Founded in 1998 by the late Theresa Goodell, Noteworthy continues her tradition of inviting all women who enjoy singing to become members. If you are interested, contact Joan Petrelius or any chorus member for more information.
