Iron Mountain, Michigan– 01/15/16– The Gwinn ModelTowner Boys basketball traveled to Iron Mountain this Friday night to take on the Mountaineers. It was a tough game for the ModelTowners. They gave it all they had and a little more, as Mike had said. Mike James and Justin Beauchamp brought you all of the in-game action on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9FM. The Gwinn ModelTowners won the tip-off at the beginning of the game. The score was tied for a short period in the first quarter and it looked like this game was going to be a challenge for both teams. The score at the end of the first quarter was 4-19 with the Iron Mountain Mountaineers leading the ModelTowners. Theo Reddlan, of the ModelTowners, got a nice three pointer in the second quarter, followed by Jonah Norman scoring another two points for Gwinn. 18-39 was the score at the end of two.
Theo Reddlan, ModelTowner, got his third three pointer of the night during the third quarter. Austin Forbes, ModelTowner, also got on the board with his three pointer. 28-51 was the score at the end of the third quarter. The fourth quarter ended with a score of 40-67 with the Iron Mountain Mountaineers taking the win. Both teams played a good game and had a great fight. Theo Reddlan, Jonah Norman, Jaylin Skinner, Austin Forbes and Tucker Taylor of the ModelTowners fought hard to rack up the points. Mike said, “It’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get back up”. Good luck ModelTowners with your next game!
