10/03/2014 Gwinn, Michigan– It was a good night for our Gwinn ModelTowners to play their homecoming game against the Westwood Patriots. The weather stayed friendly and our athletes from both teams really played a great game. Casey Ford and Gordon Mielke brought you all the action from the game on 103-FXD and GoToGwinn.com.
Our Gwinn ModelTowners started the game off with a bang! Michael Rector managed to score a touchdown on the opening kick, without the Patriots even getting a chance to touch the ball, giving them the first lead of 6-0. The Patriots countered with some pretty good tackles, the first of which was made by Dylan Hart and Trevor Kirkpatrick- Gray. Our ModelTowners just controlled the first quarter with their multiple passes, instead of singles, and their readiness to fly to
the ball. The Patriots, however, caught a 25 yard touchdown by Tristan Vitale and earned the extra point making them in the lead 7-6 for the end of the first quarter. Casey and Gordy brought you all the action on 103-FXD and on your smartphone at GoToGwinn.com.

The second quarter started off with another big touchdown, this time by Brandon Benda for the Westwood Patriots, making the score 13-6. Casey and Gordy were enjoying when the Patriots tried to make their play passing it back and forth and practically throwing it directly into the arms of Quinton Johnson for the opposing team! Devin Dachs made
some great plays in this quarter as well. The Patriots managed to score enough touchdowns and extra points by the end of this quarter to have a 27 point lead with a score of 34-6. Casey and Gordon brought you all of the in-game action on 103-FXD and streamed LIVE on GoToGwinn.com.

The halftime show was brought to you by Casey and Gordy on 103-FXD. Congratulations to Justin Beauchamp and Ellie Olsen for winning homecoming King and Queen! An awesome touchdown catch made by the Patriots started off the third quarter making the score 41-6. The running clock for this game started after that touchdown. There were some great tackles by the Patriots and outstanding plays by the ModelTowners in this quarter. Quinton Johnson had an outstanding play when he intercepted the ball from the Patriots. Both teams played great this quarter leaving the score at a 41-6 with the Patriots in the lead. Casey and Gordon brought you all of the third quarter action on 103-FXD and GoToGwinn.com.

The fourth quarter kept up that running clock, speeding up the game. Our ModelTowners had some good tackles this quarter but they could not keep up with the Patriots who scored two more touchdowns and had a two point conversion. Casey and Gordy agreed that the low snaps had really helped the ModelTowners get some big yardage. The game ended with our ModelTowners making one last touchdown and scoring the extra point making the score 49-14. The Westwood Patriots defeated our Gwinn ModelTowners by 35.
