Negaunee, MI – November 16, 2015 – Earlier this fall, Honor Credit Union renewed their support and dedication to local education with their 6th Annual Teacher Awards. Aimed at supporting local teachers who invest so much of their own time, funds, and energy into their classrooms, Honor’s Teacher Awards provides each of 30 winning teachers $100 to put toward their classroom or school.

The winning teachers can use the $100 for anything that will improve their classrooms. Additional books, art supplies, technological equipment – anything that will help these deserving teachers make a greater impact on our local youth.

This year, 382 teachers from over 300 schools across Michigan submitted their applications for the Honor Awards along with a short description of what they would use the $100 for. The committee of Honor Credit Union employees picked 30 winners out of those submissions.
