Despite the appearance of rain last Saturday, 15 drivers representing all performances classes made their runs at Sands in preparation for the May 25th season opener of official racing at Sands Speedway.
Track conditions are great for this 2013 season, the pits were tested also Saturday. 6 volunteers were present to prepare and review their job positions. There are still several positions opened for additional volunteers, contact the track personnel or arrive early on the 25th if you wish to help out.
A rumor circulated through the racers’ discussions at the track that the 4 Cylinder Class was being eliminated this year. However, THIS IS NOT TRUE!! This class like all other classes qualifying for Sands race track participation are running.
