Sands Speedway had a big car turnout this past weekend despite the shaky weather for Saturday and the track showed their appreciation for area veterans by allowing free admission! Sands conducts heat races, semi-feature, feature races and a dash during Saturday’s activities. The drivers racing this year are providing more competitive, door to door racing this year. All drivers start out on a track similar to Sands to gain experience and work their way up the circuit. Sands Speedway features a selection of our area’s up and coming drivers that you don’t want to miss!!
Winners this week: B Feature & Super Stock – Brian Ely; A Feature & Super Stock – Ray Keskimaki, 4 Cylinder Stock – Doug Maki; Modified Feature – Ross Olsen. Jr.and Late Model Winner – Jim Yelle.
