
ESCANABA, MI – 5/29/2014 – The Symetra Tour is the development tour for the LPGA. The tour features many women who hope to break onto the pro circuit. While the tour has been down south for the past few months, their Midwest run is about to commence. Along the way they’ll be making their way to Escanaba for the Island Resort Championship at Sweetgrasss near the end of June. Major Discount and Bill Tibor of Great Lakes Radio Inc. made their way to Sweetgrass for the promotional event for the tournament. During the course of the day’s events, the Major caught up with one of the golfers on the tour: Former Wisconsin Badger, Carly Werwie of Kenosha, WI.

The tournament will run from June 27th – June 29th and the cost of admission is $10 per person for the entire tournament. The tournament should appeal to all golf enthusiasts, but its a great way to expose a young, aspiring golfer to the professional game.
