Friday was another wonderful day on Adam Carpenter’s Outdoor Show! We had the chance to speak with a bunch of different guests, all of who had some really helpful information on how to make your hunting and fishing season the best that it can be! We also got the chance to groove to some great country and bluegrass music, plus we got to play some special outlaw country and alternative country for you as well!
Adam’s first guest on the Outdoor Reports was Walt Noa, of the Black Duck Hunting Preserve. Walt and Adam had the opportunity to speak about how you can prepare your dogs for hunting season and the hunting dog trials that Walt is planning to hold.
Bear hunting was the topic for the second of the day’s Outdoor Reports. Adam spoke with Brian and Art, a father and son hunting team who took two bears the past week near Baraga Co. The bear hunting forecast looks great, so check out what they had to say below!
Shelly Saxwold, from Straight Line Archery out of Ishpeming, was Adam’s third guest on Friday’s show. They discussed what Shelly can offer for local hunters, and how you can get the best out of your bow this season! They also talked about a product called a “hooter shooter” which can help you get the best out of your archery gear!
Friday’s last Outdoor Report was from Capt. John from Daybreak Charters out of Marquette. The wind and weather in general was a major topic of discussion for Captain John and Adam. They talked about finding schools of fish and which lures and colors can help you catch more fish. Also, they spoke about why some salmon coming out of Lake Superior seem to have bright red-colored flesh and what it means for people looking to catch fish.
For the Big Boy Sports Report, Steve and Adam talked about the football season opener between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. They also made their predictions for who would be victorious on opening day in the NFL, plus a whole lot more!
We hope you had a great time tuning-in to today’s Adam Carpenter’s Outdoor Show! Tune in tomorrow for another great day of hunting, fishing, and sports in the UP and Michigan!
