Hunting season is upon us, and we had another great day listening to some country music, and Cadillac Sky and The Chapmans were two artists featured in today’s bluegrass music! We also got to check out some new alternative country songs, as well as a great Hank Williams Jr. song for today’s Outlaw segment. For Elmer Aho’s American Country Gold Cut of the Day we got to hear the buttery tones of Jim Reeves.
Walt Noa, of Black Duck Hunting Preserve near Rapid River, MI, was the first of today’s guests on the Outdoor Reports. We got a chance to talk about how the opening of bird hunting season has been going for hunters and how to keep your dog safe in the heat.
The second guest on today’s Outdoor Reports was Pete from Settler’s Co-op which is located by Bruce Crossing, MI. We talked about a local walleye tournament and how local walleye and bass fishing has been and what has been working for catching fish. Also, we discussed how the bird numbers around Bruce Crossing are looking for the fall, and we even talked about bear hunting!
For today’s Big Boy Sports Report, Steve and I discussed what’s been happening in the NFL, and we also talked about the Brewers and Tigers. We even got a chance to talk some NHL news!
We hope you had a great time tuning-in to today’s Adam Carpenter’s Outdoor Show! Tune in tomorrow for another great day of hunting, fishing, and sports in the UP and Michigan!
