Fall has finally arrived, and with it the cooler weather is moving into our area! Despite the rain and cool temps, we still had a great day on the Outdoor Show! We heard some awesome country and bluegrass music, plus we got to hear from The Highwaymen on today’s Outlaw Cut! We spoke with some very informative guests on today’s Outdoor Reports, and also, we got a chance to hear from Senator Tom Casperson about his new resolution supporting hunting camp owners in the state of Michigan.
My first Outdoor Report today was with Scott from Indian Country Sports with operates out of L’Anse, MI. We discussed some salmon fishing in the rivers and near the mouths of rivers on Lake Superior, and we also talked some lake trout fishing and walleye fishing as well. The second of his Outdoor Reports focused mainly on bird, bear, and deer hunting.
Ben, from Lake Michigan Armory in Escanaba, MI was my second guest on today’s Outdoor Reports. We talked about the opening of deer season and how Lake Michigan Armory can prepare you to harvest a deer this season. We also discussed some bear hunting and even some bird and small game hunting, so take a listen!
For today’s special final Outdoor Report, we heard from Senator Tom Casperson on his new resolution in the Michigan Legislature supporting private hunting camps on USFS lands in the Ottawa National Forest. Our own news director at Great Lakes Radio, Walt Lindala, caught up with Senator Casperson and talked with him about his new resolution.
On today’s Big Boy Sports Recap, I sat down with Bill Tibor from Great Lakes Radio. We talked about all the action from the past weekend in the NFL and a bunch more topics!
