It’s starting to turn cold outside, and with it, the rain has come. We heard some amazing country and bluegrass music today, and for today’s Outlaw Cut, Jerry Reed entertained us with “Alabama Wild Man!” This rain is sure to start the salmon running, and I had some very good interviews on that topic!
My first Outdoor Report of the day was with Nick from Superior Outfitters, and he had a ton of great info for us! We shared tips on color patterns for lures and we discussed how fishermen around the Marquette area can be more successful with the rain. We also talked about where fish can be found in the rivers and near the mouths of rivers. Finally, we got into a little bit of muskie fishing reports and fly fishing patters!
For the second Outdoor Report of the day, I got a hold of Mick, from Mick’s Bait Shop out of Curtis, MI. We talked about if deer hunters around the Eastern end of the U.P. have been seeing any deer in the blinds or on their cameras, and then we talked about some bird hunting reports as well. We also heard about muskie fishing from Mick, and she shared with us which baits have been hot for catching muskie. Finally, we got into some other fishing reports.
For today’s Big Boy Sports Report, Steve and I reminisced back to summer with a talk about how the baseball playoffs have been heating up. Then we got into some NHL and NFL talks and a bunch of other sports topics as well.
We hope you had a great time tuning-in to today’s Adam Carpenter’s Outdoor Show! Tune in tomorrow for another great day of hunting, fishing, and sports in the UP and Michigan!
