It was a great day on the Outdoor Show, and the snow we had this past weekend sure got me in the mood for hunting! We had a couple of very informative guests for our Outdoor Reports, and I got a chance to play some great country and bluegrass music! Also, we heard the classic tune “It Ain’t Me, Babe” from Johnny Cash and June Carter for our Outlaw Cut of the day!
My first guest on today’s Outdoor Reports was Steve from Indian Country Sports, which operates out of L’Anse, MI, near the Western end of the Upper Peninsula. We first discussed deer hunting around Steve’s area, and we also got some great grouse and woodcock reports as well. The second half of this report focused on salmon fishing. The rivers are still very low, but any coming rain will definitely help move some fish into the rivers!
For my second Outdoor Report for today, I caught up with Greg from Bait Plus out of Gwinn, MI. He told us that conditions for deer hunters are beginning to improve for hunters in the Gwinn area, and he had some great woodcock and grouse reports telling us that the brooding groups are finally breaking up with the falling leaves and colder temps. We even got a chance to talk some bear hunting and fishing!
For our Big Boy Sports Report, Steve and I got into a huge discussion on the NFL and this past weekends’ games. We also discussed the Lions’ first win and a bunch of other sports topics!
We hope you had a great time tuning-in to today’s Adam Carpenter’s Outdoor Show! Tune in tomorrow for another great day of hunting, fishing, and sports in the UP and Michigan!
