The amazing, warm fall weather that we’ve been having continued today, and I had another chance to play some awesome country and bluegrass music for you, only on 103-FXD! By request, our Outlaw Cut of the Day was Johnny Cash and June Carter, with their song “It Ain’t Me Babe”.
This warm weather has made it hard for hunters this fall, so today’s Outdoor Reports focused mainly on the water. I first spoke with Nick from Superior Outfitters in Marquette, MI on some salmon and steelhead fishing in the rivers. Nick also told us all about which fly patterns have been working the best for him this fall. We even had a chance to talk some trout fishing too!
On my second Outdoor Report for today, I talked with Greg from Paradise Recreational Sports from Paradise, MI. There was lots of big news to discuss, thanks to today being the 40th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald incident. Nick told us all about the fun events planned for the anniversary in Paradise, and he also discussed with us deer baits and how he can help deer hunters get prepared for the upcoming gun deer season.
On today’s Big Boy Sports Recap, Steve W. and I had a bunch of topics to talk about! We first discussed the NFL and how last night’s Monday Night Football game went. Also, we talked some Detroit Pistons, Red Wings, and even some Tigers baseball as well! On an interesting side not, Steve is a Packers fan, and he made an interesting declaration, claiming that the Packers are guaranteed a win in their next game against the Lions.
We hope you had a great time tuning-in to today’s Adam Carpenter’s Outdoor Show! Tune in tomorrow for another great day of hunting, fishing, and sports in the UP and Michigan!
