It was another great fall day today on the Outdoor Show! I had a chance to play some great country and bluegrass music for you, plus we got to hear some new alternative country. It’s Friday, and that means that our Outlaw Cut today was Johnny Paycheck’s “Take This Job and Shove It”.
My first guest on the Outdoor Reports for today was Greg from Paradise Recreational Sports out of Paradise, MI. He gave us an excellent deer rut report for hunters around his area, and he also gave us some tips for deer hunters. Roughed Grouse hunting was another topic we discussed, and we also talked about some perch and salmon river fishing as well!
For my second of today’s Outdoor Reports, I spoke with acclaimed author, photographer, and hunting expert Richard P. Smith! He told us all about how the deer hunt is going this year, and he gave us some tips for deer bow hunters as the rut heats-up. He told us how he uses scents to lure huge bucks in, and he also gave us a bunch of excellent scouting tips as the gun deer season approaches. Be sure to check out Richard’s website as well!
For today’s Big Boy Sports Recap, Steve and I chatted mainly about football. We talked about the upcoming games for this weekend, and we made our picks for who we think is going to win. Steve made an interesting choice, picking the bye over the Lions, which at this point, is probably the safest choice! We also talked some college football, and finally, we talked about the Detroit Red Wings!
